Yuichiro Kito,

President, Board of International Airfreight Carriers (BIAC) Executive Officer, Cargo & Mail, Japan Airlines Co., Ltd.

Thank you for visiting the Board of International Air Freight Carriers (BIAC) website.

BIAC was founded with the aim to contribute to the development of the airfreight industry, by discussing and improving issues that are commonly addressed by airline companies offering international air cargo transportation into and out of Japan – fully in compliance with antitrust laws and other relevant regulations. As of August 2024, we have 24 active members pursuing the goal. In coordination and mutual cooperation with Japan Aircargo Forwarders Association (JAFA), an organization of airfreight forwarders, BIAC co-hosts joint working groups specialized in topics of Air Freight Packing and Dangerous Goods, with activities ranging from Dangerous Goods seminars to Narita Airport cargo facility tours for shipper communities, and thereby looks to improve safety and quality of airfreight transportation.

The airfreight industry is required to respond to futher digitization and environmental problems. I will contribute to the value improvement of the further air cargo transportation and the development of the industry while doing a conventional approach such as the improvement of safety of the past air cargo transportation and the transportation quality with the axis of the activity. I ask for and look forward to your support and guidance.Thank you.
